Meet Our State Officers
Educators Rising State Officers hold a one-year term and are responsible for promoting the organization’s mission and vision in cultivating the new generation of educators. They plan and teach workshops, present at the state conference, and promote Educators Rising activities across the state.

Lucy Mudd
Lucy has been in educators rising since 8th grade and is currently the Vice president of Fundraising. She hopes to become a special education teacherShe is captain of her field hockey team, and has made principal honor roll every quarter.
North Point High School
Lia Adams
Lia has been in Educators Rising for two years as Historian and Vice President of Communications. When she's not working on future projects for Ed-rising, she participates in theater and hopes to major in creative writing in college. Her dream job is a children's book author.

Divine Nseliema
Divine is in her second year with Educators’ Rising and is a part of the fundraising team for the Maryland chapter. She has competed in the ethical dilemma and children literature competition and placed in the top 5 in Maryland. She is currently the Vice President at the Clarksburg High School chapter. She plans on becoming a Pediatric Occupational Therapist once she graduates high school.

Alyssa Bryant
This is Alyssa's second year in Educators Rising and first year as a state officer. She hopes to pursue a career in occupational therapy and buissness.

Valerie is a second year Educators Rising member. In the future, she aspires to become a teacher and work in the education field.

Olivia has been involved in Educators Rising for 3 years. Last year, she won 1st place in the varsity Children's Literature Competition!

Yesenia Santiago
Yesenia joined this program because of her aspiration to become an educator and build future leaders of tomorrow. In addition to education, she is passionate about music and is a singer at her Church and in her school’s advanced choir. Yesenia is very rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ and strives to help others in need. She is the Vice President of Community Outreach.

This is Makayla's second year as a member of Educators Rising, and she is the VP of social media. In the future, she plans to pursue a career in early education.

Rosalie Caribe
Rosalie is the state president and has been part of educators rising for 3 years. She wants to be an educator and help students realize their full potential because of her experience as an ESOL student.
